- Application - Importance of demonstrating why you are the best candidate including making sure to explain the results of what you have done (not just what you can do)
- Networking - find what you have in common with folks and build on it. People are tentacles into organizations and opportunities.
- Internships and fellowship programs for all ages as spring boards into jobs.
- Make contacts especially at a time of election turnover. It is a good time to get your foot in the door.
